1) Please share a powerful insight you have gained from the Science of Mind teaching.  

As a kid growing up in GenX I marveled at the movie “Star Wars” at the drive-in theater. My childhood best friend and I spent hours playing make believe that we were master jedis, moving things with our minds. I really didn’t have spirituality in my home life. My grandmother took me to church every Sunday, but I never really resonated with Christianity or the bible. I continuously felt a cognitive dissonance. God loves you all the time unless you’re bad, then you must repent and beg for his love and forgiveness, again and again. I was an only child in a sea of adults who unknowingly conveyed that I was continually bad, mostly because I was a child. I tried many churches but was never good enough for the common American religion. Then I found our center, our teaching. People in our center loved me until I loved myself, they even loved me when I made a mistake. They taught me  to embrace the idea that God is all there is, and that there is love in everything, and I could be loving in all I do. Mostly they taught me to change the way I think, feel, and believe. I’m still not a Jedi master, but I definitely live in “The Force” more than I ever have. 

2) What is a fun fact about you?

I love Rocks, crystals and Gems. I’ve been collecting them and researching them for decades. I try to witness the universe speaking to me through omens, and my rocks have been a valuable friend through this journey. I will also say, there is no power outside of myself, there’s no power “in” the rocks. The power is inside me alone, but they have been very handy at reminding me, what I’m working on, and keeping my thoughts where I need them to be.

3) What are your interests or hobbies?

Oh Gosh! So many! I LOVE Pickleball! Knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing. Drawing, painting, sculpting. Books, mostly science of mind-y type books. Journaling, Book binding, and repair. Crystal collecting. Runes, tarot, oracle, astrology, numerology, Chinese zodiac, mythical creatures, the stars, psychics and mystics, sound healing, reiki, divination, spiritual rituals/routines, meditation, prayer…but mostly, Studying my present moment to become an alchemist, or a sorcerer, which involves actively participating in the present to witness god in all things around me, and listen to the messages conveyed through the my experience, which is allowed me to see the true gift in the present.
